Oconee
River Georgia Youth Science & Technology Center is a private, non-profit
educational organization designed to promote interest and enthusiasm in
science and technology. Oconee River GYSTC advocates and participates in
efforts to effect systemic changes that lead to improved appreciation and
performance in science and technology education for all students. Since its
establishment in 1997, the Oconee River GYSTC has strived to identify
effective curriculum resources, create high-quality professional learning
opportunities, and disseminate useful information and products to improve
K-12 science teaching and learning. Oconee
River GYSTC is one of 13 centers located throughout the state of Georgia.
Each regional center is
governed by its own Board of Directors
representing education, government and businesses in its area. Oconee
River GYSTC serves students and teachers in the school systems of Barrow
County, Commerce City, Greene County, Jackson County, Jefferson City, Madison
County, Morgan County, Oconee County, Oglethorpe County, Social Circle City,
and Walton County.

Eisenhower
National Clearinghouse
ENC stands for the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for
Mathematics and Science Education. ENC's mission is to identify effective
curriculum resources, create high-quality professional development materials,
and disseminate useful information and products to improve K-12 mathematics and
science teaching and learning.

Science for Curious Kids
Kids can explore animal classifications, dust particles in the air,
the stages of a butterfly's life, and which plant parts to use in a garden
salad at this site.
Cornell Theory Center Math
and Science Gateway
This Gateway provides links to resources in mathematics and science
for educators and students in grades 9-12.
The
National Student Research Center
This site is helpful in regards to student research and science fair
projects.
PALS
PALS (Performance Assessment Links in Science) is an on-line,
standards-based bank of science performance assessment tasks.
Project Learning Tree
PLT uses the forest as a "window" on the world to increase
students' understanding of our environment.
The program is designed for educators PK through 12th grade.

WILD
Project WILD is an
interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program emphasizing
wildlife. The program is designed for educators of kindergarten through 12th
grade students.
Project
WET
Project WET (Water
Education for Teachers) is a water education program for educators and
young people ages 5-18. The program facilitates and promotes awareness,
appreciation, knowledge, and stewardship of water resources through the dissemination
of classroom-ready activities.
Scienceline (PBS
TeacherSource)
Developed in collaboration with the National Science Teachers
Association, SCIENCELINE uses videos of teachers modeling standards-based
instructional practices, facilitated online learning communities and print
materials to help teachers master the inquiry teaching method.
Science Resource
Center
This web site is for science teachers to share ideas. Permission is
granted to use and reproduce all materials at this site as long as the
activities are not sold. Individual authors retain any and all copyrights.
TryScience
TryScience offers tips to parents and teachers on ways to engage
students in the world of science.
Over 200 great chemistry activities and labs can be found
at this site.
