The amendment sets the minimum fine for a conviction at $10,000 and upon conviction requires up to 500 hours of community service with an animal-related organization. Summary of the bill as introduced: Allows fines up to $30,000, imprisonment and payment of restitution or replacement for torturing, mutilating, injuring, disabling or killing a police dog or horse. |
