The amendment strikes all of the language in the original bill and adds language that simplifies the definition of fire departments and simplifies the description of the projects that can be used with these funds. Eligible fire departments may be awarded annual grants of $20,000 - $23,000. 03.30.2022 The House Labor, Commerce and Industry Business and Commerce subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report. Summary of the bill as introduced: Increases the V-Safe Program grant funds each year by the increase of the consumer price index for all chartered fire departments. |
