Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 990 expands  existing law, applicable to new cities in DeKalb County, to newly created cities in Fulton County. In particular, the bill provides for the transfer of existing fire stations and parks from the county to a newly-created to cities in Fulton County. The bill also provides for the transfer of fees collected from certain special service districts to newly created cities. This bill passed and is effective upon signature of the Governor's signature.
