SUMMARY:

            This bill would amend Article 7 of Chapter 20 of Title 47 of the O.C.G.A. to provide for the initial and continuing identification of companies that do business with Sudan, to require divestment of ownership interests help by public retirement funds in those companies, and to prohibit investment in such companies.  One exception is companies that provide humanitarian aid as their primary purpose.
