SB 87 directs the Department of Transportation to incorporate �RV Friendly� markers on service signs along the roadways to indicate business establishments that cater to the needs of recreational vehicles.

This bill received a Do Pass recommendation from the Transportation Committee and comes to the House Floor under the Open Rule.

WHAT PROBLEM/OPPORTUNITY DOES THIS LEGISLATION ADDRESS?

This legislation provides for RV friendly markers on signs so that people traveling through Georgia can stop at these establishments and spend their money at Georgia business.  This in turn, will help the economy in Georgia.

 

WHAT IS THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND THIS LEGISLATION?

Keeping travelers� dollars inside the state and helping the revenue stream.
