HB 363 adds Georgia Military College to the list of eligible colleges for HOPE grants for students participating in certificate programs.

WHAT PROBLEM/OPPORTUNITY DOES THIS LEGISLATION ADDRESS?

This legislation makes the HOPE Scholarship available to students attending Georgia Military College, who are left out under current law. It levels the playing field to ensure that all students are treated equally and granted the same opportunities.

 

THIS LEGISLATION:

  • Strengthens the Traditional Family Structure

HB 363 will reduce the financial burden of college tuition on the families of students attending Georgia Military College.

  • Increases Personal Responsibility:

This will assist students who are taking the responsibility of furthering their education.

The Senate made no further changes to the bill.
