Chairman Scott’s Opinion of the Legislation:

This is a housekeeping bill for the Department of Administrative Services which addresses the uncertainty surrounding the application of core HR policies to the large number of unclassified state employees. The bill helps the state address critical initiatives like recruitment, performance management, work force planning, etc. on an enterprise-wide basis, providing consistency within HR practices and removing and replacing outdated terms and confusing references.

This bill comes to the House Floor under the Open Rule.
