HB 790 would designate the third week in October of every year as “School Bus Safety Week” in Georgia.

Chairman Hill’s opinion of this legislation:

More than 40 states celebrate School Bus Safety Week.  It was first created in 1966 to remind students of the best ways to get on and off the bus and to enhance the safety of all students. Congress has also passed a similar resolution, which promotes awareness through local and state posters and speech contests.
