HB 831 enacts the Charter School Capital Finance Act. This act would allow the State Board of Education to establish a grant program for charter school contributions. Subject to appropriations, the program will provide dollar-for-dollar matching funds for private contributions made to qualified charter school projects. A cap on matching funds is set by a statutory formula.

This bill provides for a grant program under the state DOE with respect to qualified donations. This would bring a public/private partnership to aid in the creation of charter school.
This Legislation:
