House Bill 981
Chair's Name: Vance Smith
Committee: Transportation
House Sponsor: Mark Butler
Current law regarding the weight and loads of vehicles limits concrete hauling provisions to situations where the concrete is being hauled to customer in the same or adjoining county. HB 981 removes the adjoining county limitation.
This bill comes to the House Floor under the Open Rule.
Chairman Smith’s opinion of this legislation:
Under current law concrete trucks may only go through adjacent counties but at times it is necessary to pass through other counties in order to make their deliveries. This legislation puts the concrete industry on equal footing with similar industries in Georgia. |
