Any elector who is 75 years old or disabled and requires assistance in casting an absentee ballot at the registrar’s office or other location provided by law, may request to vote immediately at the next available voting machine or booth without waiting in line. Notice must be prominently displayed in the office.
Chairman Scott’s Opinion of this legislation:
This allows senior citizens over the age of 75 to move to the front of the line when voting. This would help and honor our seniors as they continue to fulfill their civic duty.
