SB 414 addresses several items related to the Firefighters Standards & Training Council. The required quorum for meetings is increased from four to six members. The  council is given the ability to adopt rules and appoint committees as necessary to carry out its business and duties. The council can also establish uniform minimum standards for probations and suspensions. Section 5 modifies the general qualifications for firefighters.
