Sponsor’s opinion of the legislation:

HB 1145 allows local governments by resolution to establish a water and sewer authority to better serve their citizens and lower costs for delivery of water and sewer to multiple jurisdictions.  HB 1145 was filed to address the water needs of citizens due to the recent drought. 

This Legislation:

        Reduces the Size of Government by promoting governmental efficiency and cost savings by allowing local governments to collaborate in providing water and sewer services.

This bill comes to the House Floor under the Modified Structured Rule.
