HB 1169 exempts private K-12 schools which provide after-school care programs from the definition “Day-care Center”.

This bill comes to the Floor under the Open Rule.

Secretary Benton’s Opinion of the legislation:

This bill would allow private schools of a certain size to provide an after school program. Right now, if they have over 19 students, they cannot offer this program. These changes are needed to allow private schools to better meet the needs of its students.
