Chairman O’Neal’s Opinion of the Legislation:

HB 1193 provides for a sales tax exemption on sales of property used in the construction of an aquarium expansion in this state from January 1, 2007 through June 30, 2011.  This will aid expansion of the Georgia Aquarium, which has been a significant tourist attraction and economic stimulus to our state.
