Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This bill requires the Uniform Building Code Commission to submit a report by October 1, 2019 to the Business and Labor Interim Committee recommending building standards for the use of mass timber products in residential and commercial construction. Mass timber products include cross laminated timber, nail laminated timber, glue laminated timber, laminated strand timber, dowel laminated timber, laminated veneer lumber, structural composite lumber, and wood concrete composites. |
