SB 292 would require anyone applying for temporary assistance to needy families (TANF) and Medicaid to submit to and pay for a drug test. Anyone failing the drug test would be given a list of substance abuse treatment providers in the area where he or she resides. The state would not be responsible for providing or paying for any substance abuse treatment.
