SB 513 would allow counties to refuse to help the United States armed forces in the investigation, prosecution or detention of any citizen under Section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 if it is believed that such help would place the county in violation of the Constitution or Georgia  or county law.  Section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act deals with indefinite detention without trial of individuals believed to be involved with al-Qaeda, the Taliban or other associated forces engaged in hostilities against the United States.
