Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 1065 makes numerous changes to tax payment and reporting provisions to the state for alcoholic beverages. Of importance to local governments, it stipulates that local alcohol taxes on distilled spirits "shall be paid on or before the tenth day of the month following the calendar month in which distilled spirits are sold."
