Staff Analysis of the Legislation

Current law allows for DNR-, city- and county-owned golf courses to sell beer and wine.  This bill allows public golf courses to now also sell distilled spirits so long as said libations are authorized to be sold in respective localities.

Current law prohibits the sell of on-premise alcoholic beverages within 100 yards of a housing authority property.  SB 150 allows local governments to authorize this, after receiving feedback from the housing authority, via a resolution, ordinance or "administrative order."  ACCG will work to perfect this language to ensure that a county must authorize their "administrators" to issue such an order.
