SB 492 allows the State to enter into a contracts with multiple vendors for "heavy equipment," defined as self-propelled, self-powered or pull-type equipment and machinery, including diesel engines. It does not include anything motor vehicles or consumer goods bought or used for personal, family or household purposes. Presumably, counties will be able to purchase such equipment through the State's contract.
