Staff Analysis of the Legislation
HB 745 amends Article 1 of Chapter 7 of Title 44 of the OCGA.  It would allow tenants to terminate, with no termination penalty, their rental or lease agreement effective 30 days after providing the landlord with a written notice of termination when a civil family violence order or criminal family violence order has been issued: (1) to protect such tenant; or (2) protecting such tenant when they are a joint tenant.
