Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:  LC 40 0435  Current law prohibits school board members serving in counties with a population between 500,000 - 600,000 from holding any other elected governmental office.  HB 723 repeals this prohibition.  (Similar to HB 722)

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Upon approval by the General Assembly and signature by the Governor.
