SUMMARY: LC 33 5419 No high school shall participate in interscholastic sports events conducted by an athletic association unless the association:
- requires that members of its executive committee, board of trustees, or any associated boards are employed by a public or private school for a minimum of 100 days per year
- limits the terms of members of its executive committee, board of trustees, or any associated boards to a total of four years
- provides that every school is allowed one vote to elect the executive director
- annually publishes and provides to each member school a detailed financial report of its revenues and expenditures
- has separate regions and playoffs for private schools and public schools in the classification for schools with an enrollment of 640 students or less as determined by the FTE count
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon approval by the General Assembly and signature by the Governor.
