SUMMARY: LC 33 5156 Establishes a peer review committee to make recommendations to the Governor regarding removal of board members in districts pending loss of accreditation related to governance issues.
REQUIREMENTS: - removes the State Board from the process of recommending removal of local board members
- establishes a peer review committee made up of one local board member from each of the 14 districts of the Georgia School Boards Association. Terms will be for two years.
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon approval of the General Assembly and Governor.
