SUMMARY:  LC 33 5586  Modifies provisions for content area assessments for limited English proficient students

REQUIREMENTS: A limited English proficient student shall be eligible for up to a two year deferments from content area assessments, other than math and science, if the student's proficiency in English indicates that testing is not in the best educational interest of the student.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Upon approval of the General Assembly and the Governor.
