Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:  This bill would amend Code Section 20-2-164 of the O.C.G.A. to provide a cap on the amount of LFMS required for local school systems.  It would prohibit the LFMS from exceeding an amount equal to 10% of the most recent equalized adjusted school property tax digest for the system.
