Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:

            This bill would amend Code Section 16-11-127.1 of the O.C.G.A. to provide punishment for persons who deliberately possess a weapon in a school zone.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This bill would excuse anyone who carried a weapon in a school zone unintentionally.

 

NOTES:

Define “unintentionally” without going to court.
