Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:  This bill would amend Code Section 42-1-12 so that the state still would be required to obtain from the GBI all names and addresses of registered sex offenders, and make the information available to local school systems, but they would no longer have to send the lists to local school systems.
