Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:  This bill would amend Article I of Chapter 1 of Title 20 of the O.C.G.A. to provide that for purposes of attendance awards absences caused by illness or injury caused by statewide emergencies or epidemics would not be counted as absences.  No mention is made regarding AYP attendance requirements.
