SUMMARY:

            This bill would amend Code Section 48-8-3 of the O.C.G.A. to provide a phased-in exemption from sales tax for the sale of natural or artificial gas, electricity or any other energy used directly or indirectly in manufacturing or processing in a plant in Georgia  Local sales and use taxes would be exempt.
