Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:  This bill would amend Part 1 of Article 4 of Chapter 12 of Title 45 of the O.C.G.A. to require GOPB to add fees to the requirement to complete annual tax expenditure reports.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A report of all fees collected and administered by an budget unit would have to contain, for each fee:
    • Statutory authorization and termination date, if any;
    • A description of the services or product provided;
    • Current rate or amount ;
    • Fund where deposited;
    • Revenues derived from it in previous 2 fiscal years;
    • Any proposal to create new fees or change existing fee;
    • Any proposal to designate, or re-designate the fund where the fee would be deposited.
