Marcus Paramore and his wife Leigh Ann are residents of Troy and members of Park Memorial United Methodist Church. They have two adult sons, Bradley and Cody. He currently serves as the President of the Troy City Council where he has served as an elected member since 2012.
Under his leadership the City of Troy has experienced significant economic growth with the creation of hundreds of new jobs and the expansion of several existing businesses. Troy has also expanded retail opportunities with the creation of a new shopping center and the creation of new infrastructure projects.
Paramore is the Director of Government Relations for Troy University. He previously worked on the staff of Congressman Terry Everett.
Paramore earned a BA in Economics and a MS in Sport & Fitness Management from Troy (State) University. He is a member of the Troy Rotary Club, the Business Council of Alabama, the Pike County Cattleman's Association, ALFA and the NRA. He has served as a volunteer for the American Heart Association, the Troy Miracle League, the Troy Recreation Department, and various other organizations. |
