| A native of Central Florida, Erika Booth is a two-time Teacher of the Year who has spent the majority of her professional career in the classroom as an educator. She has also spent several years working as a project manager for the Youth Leadership Osceola and Project OPEN programs, serving at-risk youth and adults in the Central Florida community.
Booth's passion is helping her students find individual academic success. As a member of the local school board, she made certain that it was done in a safe, in-person environment supported by involved parents, an engaged community, and the highest quality professional educators and staff. She has two bachelor's degrees from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. She has also completed the Education Leadership program at Stetson University.
Erika Booth is married to her husband of 19 years, County Commissioner Ricky Booth, and together they have three children. Erika is deeply involved in the community and with organizations such as the Florida Farm Bureau, Bookmark Buddies Mentor Program, Silver Spurs Riding Club, and the PEO Philanthropic Organization. |
