Senator Lindsey Port was first elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2021. She represents Senate District 56, which covers the communities of Burnsville, Savage, and the northwest part of Lakeville.
Port grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with her parents and sister. She moved to Minnesota in 2001 to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Port is a nonprofit advisor and consultant and a longtime resident of Burnsville, where she lives with her husband, Steve, and two young girls.
Sen. Port currently serves on the Technology and Reform Committee, Commerce Committee, Housing Committee, and is the DFL lead on the Metro Governance Committee. |
