Bio

Representative George Nikolakakos is a successful businessman, a twenty year Air Force/Montana National Guard Veteran, an experienced legislator, and a father of four energetic 5th generation Montanans. A results oriented conservative, he is a Republican running for re-election to the legislature. George has grown a real estate enterprise across the state, served key positions in both Great Falls military missions, and participates on numerous state/local non-profit boards. He is qualified and motivated to continue tackling problems for everyday Montanans on day one of the legislative session. A principled leader, George strongly believes in finding innovative, conservative, win/win solutions that strengthen our economy while caring for seniors and the most vulnerable among us. He is passionate about upholding the founding principles and constitutional values that have made our nation and state the exceptional places they are. As a housing sector businessman with a fiscally conservative approach, George understands the difference between wasteful spending and long-term investing. That skill has never been needed more in government than today. He was proud to successfully pass laws cutting taxes, eliminating red tape, and bolstering our 2A rights while being named "Montana Housing legislator of the Year 2023" by the Montana Housing Coalition and a "Champion of Business" by the Chamber of Commerce. In the legislature George will continue to champion economic opportunity for families and businesses alike. George joined the military shortly after the attacks of September 11th. A decorated veteran, he deployed overseas numerous times in support of operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere. He has logged hundreds of combat hours as an Airborne Intelligence Language Analyst while maintaining fluency in five languages. George has served in key roles locally both as a Nuclear Accountability Officer at Malmstrom Air Force Base as well as Superintendent of Intelligence for the 120th Air Wing, Montana Air National Guard. George swore an oath to uphold and defend both the U.S. and Montana Constitutions. His lifelong sense of duty and service make that a never ending commitment. With a servant's heart George is running to get things done for Montanans. Making noise and getting attention might make good politics but usually produces poor results. Through hard work with a sense of integrity and respect George firmly believes that public service can be a noble calling. But only when elected officials don't forget that holding office means taking a step down to serve under people, not over them. We need principled leaders who will listen and put aside self interest to take on the challenges of our day. George is ready to answer that call.
