Bio

I am a fourth-generation Montanan. My Great grandparents came to Yellowstone County in 1913 and my family has been here ever since. My wife JoAnna and I have been married for 45 years. We have six children (2 adopted) and I am the proud grandpa of 22 amazing grandchildren! My life revolves around my family. I am blessed to have all of my children live in Montana! For me, there is nothing more enjoyable than camping in the mountains of Montana with my children, grandchildren, and friends! I have been an ATV instructor and I am a past Vice-President of the Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association. I believe that our access to public lands is important and that, as residents of Montana, we need to take care of our trails and our public lands. I am a past President of the Montana Petroleum Landman Association. I worked for 17 years in the oil and gas division of Montana Power. During that time, I was able to observe how regulations and pricing affect resource development, production, and employment. My work as a petroleum landman also provided me with an opportunity to work with legislative issues and procedures. I do not agree with the energy stance of President Biden. I believe that we can safely and effectively develop our natural resources using the best technology available. I am a Conservative Republican, who supports the Second Amendment, and I am a member of the NRA. I am Pro-life and I believe that strong families are central to strong communities and a strong nation. I believe that being fiscally responsible is the only sensible way to run any government. My second career has been as a Doctor of Chiropractic. As the owner of two chiropractic clinics, I understand the concerns and difficulties of running a small business. Small business owners must wear many hats and it is difficult to wear all of them successfully. I love working with my patients and helping them improve their health! Laws and regulations are always a concern for small business owners. I feel that laws and regulations should never interfere with my ability to provide my patients with the best care possible. I recognize that every small business needs to be able to focus on their business and not on government. I was born and raised in Yellowstone County. I worked on a farm near Pompey's Pillar while growing up. As a result, I understand many of the difficulties of farming and ranching. I am a firm believer in the importance of respect for the land, wildlife, and hard-working families. In Montana, farmers and ranchers know that being a good neighbor is the best way to live and help each other succeed individually and collectively. I believe that my Montana roots have ingrained that philosophy and way of life into the core of my being. I serve in the Montana House of Representatives because I believe that I can make a difference. I believe that our government should work from the bottom up and not from the top down. I believe that establishing a strong, minimally invasive state government and strong state economy is the best way to positively affect both our state and our nation. I believe in and will continue to work to protect the United States Constitution. I believe that we can make changes in Montana's laws and regulations that will promote fair and equitable opportunities for people to improve themselves economically and to enhance our opportunities for educational pursuits. We are all neighbors and we need to work together to maintain and improve our Montana way of life!
