I am the proud son of a Naval veteran turned career law enforcement officer and loving homemaker. There's a peace and freedom in North Dakota that you can feel in your soul. I'm running to not only protect what is so special about our state, but to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead. While we have much to be grateful for, the failure of the leadership of both political parties has led to an uncertain economy.
Like most people, my monthly bills have skyrocketed due to inflation. This is partly due to politicians overspending on waste or handouts to the politically well-connected. This ultimately increases tax and cost of living burdens on working families. It also takes our state government priorities away from infrastructure, schools, and other essential functions our communities need. I want to be a voice for all the hard-working people, doing their best for their families to make ends meet and a roof over their heads.
Professionally, I've worked in both blue collar and white collar environments. This includes general contracting, warehousing, retail, political campaigns, and two years as a roustabout in the North Dakota oil fields. Since 2014, I've owned a small consulting business, which provides strategic planning, marketing and other services.
We all have the same opportunity to embrace our shared American and North Dakota culture, values, and to pursue the American dream. To make sure future generations have the same opportunities, we must elect leaders who put the working class before the political class.
In 2022, I successfully led a statewide ballot initiative that applied term limits on the office of North Dakota governor, and the state legislature. Facing opposition from both political parties, legislative leadership, and every special interest lobbyist in the state, our campaign prevailed with support from a wide array of voters across the political spectrum. In 2024, I also successfully led the Retire Congress North Dakota campaign, which requires our members of Congress to retire like everyone else by applying 80-year age limits.
I'm a man of the people. For many years, I've volunteered and worked as a grassroots organizer. I am passionate about empowering everyday citizens - training, organizing and mobilizing them to understand and utilize the political process in their communities. I hold an Associate's Degree in Computer Arts from Thomas Nelson Community College. I am engaged to my beautiful fiance Anna, an ICU nurse, and live in Urban Plains with a bengal cat named Liberty. |
