A third-generation native of Fort Mill, David Martin was raised in a conservative and blue-collar family by parents Johnny and Deb Martin. From an early age, he imbibed the values of hard work and Christian beliefs, applying these principles to both his personal and professional life.
David graduated from Fort Mill High School as a multi-sport athlete and later attended Coastal Carolina University, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science with honors. During his university years, David showcased his leadership skills as a quarterback on the Coastal Carolina football team. Additionally, he was recognized for his academic achievements, being a member of the Political Science National Honor Society, Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and Phi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.
Following his undergraduate studies, David pursued legal education at the Charlotte School of Law, blending his competitive background with a passion for helping others. In 2018, he established the David W. Martin Law Group in Fort Mill, South Carolina, which has since grown to twenty-two employees across eight offices in the state. The firm has received acclaim, including recognition on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in the United States.
Now, David Martin, a devoted family man, is the proud father of two beautiful daughters. Motivated by a deep love for his community, he has made the decision to enter the political arena as the next South Carolina District 26 House Representative. He aims to protect South Carolina's conservative values by reducing government restrictions on business, reducing taxes and lowering inflation for businesses and individuals, advocating for our public schools, and protecting individual freedoms across the state. David's unwavering moral compass always guides him north, as he dedicates his time to serving as a representative for the people of South Carolina. |
