Jeff's early life was marked by poverty, foster care, and a lack of guidance, leading him to the juvenile justice system, which landed him on probation for truancy. Jeff missed a lot of school time since he had to work full-time to help pay the family bills. Sadly, this story reflects the struggles of many young individuals today. However, Jeff overcame these obstacles and built a successful life, thanks to God and the support of his mentors.
Living through many Ohio winters with no running water, electricity, or food, Jeff made a pact to rise above these hardships and to help others in similar situations, and that is what he has been doing his whole life, punctuated by his long and impeccable service in the United States Air Force. He serves as a Board trustee for the Sumter (SC) School District and chairs the Ad Hoc Committee on Transportation. His efforts led to the most significant pay raise for bus drivers in Sumter Schools' history and a 40% reduction in student misconduct within a year. Jeff's dedication to community service is evident in his various roles, including mentoring at-risk youth with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
With a bachelor's degree in political science and an associate degree in Munitions Systems Technology, his education complements his extensive military training and experience. His true strength lies in leadership, always connecting with and guiding struggling individuals toward the right path. Jeff is happily married to Christina, a nurse at our local hospital, and they have one daughter, Eva. |
