| Representative Danny Garrett was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 4, 2014.
Prior to that, Representative Garrett served as vice president of the Trussville City School Board of Education.
He earned a B.S. degree in Commerce and Business Administration and a Master of Tax Accounting degree from the University of Alabama, and passed the Alabama Certified Public Accountancy examination in 1983.
Representative Garrett is currently the chief financial officer for Vulcan Threaded Products. Prior to that, he served as CFO for several local, national, and international manufacturing companies with average revenues ranging from $150 million to $1.5 billion.
He is a member of the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce Board of Visitors, Advisory Board of the Alabama Productivity Center, and the Trussville Rotary Club.
Representative Garrett has been married since 1984 to his wife, Carol, and they have three adult sons.
He is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Trussville. |
