Harlan Breaux is a Republican candidate for State Representative in district 97.
A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Breaux served his country in the United States Navy between 1966 and 1970. He spent 35 years at Alcoa Aluminum in Lake Charles, Louisiana before retiring to Carroll County. He currently works part time for Peach Tree Assisted Living, where he helps with transportation.
Breaux spent several years as a historical tour guide around Eureka Springs. He says that experience made him realize what an important resource tourism is locally and across the state. "We are blessed in Arkansas with a natural beauty that draws people here. I want to promote our state in a way that brings enough tourism dollars in that we are able to lower income taxes on those that live here year-round."
"As a committed conservative, I believe in traditional family values" concluded Breaux. "I'm pro-life, pro marriage, and pro-gun."
Breaux and his wife Roxie have been married for 47 years. They have one daughter and are members of Faith Bible Church, where he is an Elder. He is a member of the NRA and Gideon International. |
