Rep. Charlene Fite is serving her fifth term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. She represents District 80, which includes portions of Crawford and Washington counties.
For the 93rd General Assembly, Rep. Fite serves as Chairperson for the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative & Military Affairs Committee. She also serves on the House Education Committee, the Joint Energy Committee, and the Arkansas Legislative Council.
Rep. Fite is a retired school Psychology Specialist. She attended the Univerisity of Tennessee and received her B.S. in deaf education and then went on to receive her M.Ed. in special education from the University of Arkansas.
Rep. Fite has served on the Board of Court Appointed Special Advocates in Crawford County, the Board of Children's Advocacy Centers of Arkansas, and the Board for Bost Development Centers.
She was recognized in 2017 as Women's Own Worth (WOW) Woman of the Year and received the Domestic Peace Award from the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She was also presented the Joe T. Robinson Award by the Arkansas National Guard.
Rep. Fite lives with her husband Tom and has six children and seven grandchildren. |
