Rep. Danny Watson is serving his third term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 3 which includes portions of Hempstead and Nevada counties.
For the 93rd General Assembly, Rep. Watson serves as Vice-Chairperson of the House Public Transportation Committee. He also serves on the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative & Military Affairs Committee, the Joint Committee on Energy, as well as the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.
Rep. Watson attended Louisiana Tech University. He is a graduate of the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. He spent 15 years in law enforcement. He also had a career as a director of safety for a trucking company.
Rep. Watson served on the school board for Hope School District.
He is a member of the Hope Kiwanis Club, Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, and the Nevada County Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the board of directors for Southwest Arkansas Development Housing Inc.
Rep. Watson resides in Hope with his wife Judy. He has two grown children and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and traveling to new places. |
