| Howard Beaty, a lifelong and consistent conservative, is running as the Republican candidate for State Representative in Arkansas House District 95, which includes portions of Drew and Ashley Counties.
In these times, southeast Arkansas needs a proven and conservative leader, like Howard, who knows what it takes to create jobs and help small-business owners get started, expand, or get back on their feet. As President of the Crossett Economic Development Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce, Howard knows what it takes to create jobs and bring industry to our area. In fact, Crossett just announced 70 news jobs in April, right in the middle of this global pandemic-and Howard believes southeast Arkansas can do even more. He is also the President and CEO of First State Bank in Crossett.
A member of the First Baptist Church of Crossett, Howard has spent more than 25 years of his banking career assisting small businesses, families, and individuals with their financial needs. He is actively involved in his community and has dedicated innumerous hours on economic development projects and community development and civic organizations. He is pro-life, pro-business, and a staunch defender of the Second Amendment.
In 2019, he was appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson to serve on the Board of Directors of the Division of Science and Technology of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.
In addition to the roles stated above, Howard is the former Chairman of the Ashley County Republican Committee; member and former President of the Rotary Club of Crossett; former member and Chairman of the Ashley County Arkansas Board of Election Commissioners; former Chairman and board member of Ashley County Single Parent Scholarship Committee; President and board member of the Friends of the Crossett Public Library; and a Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Howard serves as Chair of the Facilities Use Committee at the First Baptist Church of Crossett, where he is also a member of the Budget Committee. He is an Eagle Scout and a Tusk Club member of the Arkansas Republican Party-and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. |
