| Rep. Sonia Barker is serving her second term in the Arkansas House. She represents District 7 which includes portions of Union, Ouachita, and Calhoun counties.
For the 92nd General Assembly, Rep. Barker serves as Vice-Chair of the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee. She also serves on the Joint Performance Review Committee and the House Public Transportation Committee.
Rep. Barker taught high school in Smackover.
She graduated with honors from Southern Arkansas University.
Rep. Barker is a member of the National Rifle Association, Conservative Arkansas, and the American Association of Teachers of French. She is a member of the First Baptist Church in Smackover.
She has three grown children and resides in Smackover with her husband, John. |
