| Senator Steve Crowell was elected to the Senate in November 2022 and was sworn on January 9, 2023. He represents District 3, which includes Clark, Columbia, Lafayette and Nevada Counties and parts of Hot Spring, Hempstead and Pike Counties.
Senator Crowell is a vice-chair of Special Language Subcommittee of the Joint Budget Committee. He is also a member of the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee, the Senate State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, the Senate Efficiency Committee, the Joint Interim Committee on Legislative Facilities, the Joint Budget Committee and the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.
Senator Crowell served as a member of the Magnolia City Council and serves on the Police Commission and Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Magnolia Arts Board. Senator Crowell has served as the chair of the Magnolia Blossom Festival.
Senator Crowell and his wife, Laura, have four children and one grandchild. They are members of First Baptist Church in Magnolia.
He is the owner and manager of SL Crowell Properties. He is also an Arkansas High School Football referee. |
