My grandparents immigrated to Arizona with no more than sixth-grade educations, but they worked hard to give my mom, and me, the opportunity to graduate from college.
Growing up in Yuma, I've seen first-hand the barriers that stop working families from achieving their dreams- not enough affordable housing, wages that don't keep up with rising gas and food prices, chronically-underfunded teachers and schools, and no local access to the education our children need to succeed.
That's why I am running to represent my home district in Arizona's State Senate-to bring solutions that will give everyone in my community a chance to reach for the American Dream.
I know a strong Arizona economy starts with thriving families and rural communities. Together, we can protect our water, strengthen our public schools, and put our ranchers, farmers, local businesses, and working families first. |
