| David Smith is a business consultant residing in Winter Springs, Florida. He was born on March 17 in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, and moved to Florida in 1972. David attended Texas A&M University, earning a BBA in 1982, and later graduated with an MS from Florida Institute of Technology in 2000. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Colonel and UH-1N Helicopter Pilot, retiring with numerous honors, including the Legion of Merit (2), Meritorious Service Medal (3), Air Medal "V" (2), Navy Commendation Medal (3), Navy Achievement Medal, Operation Iraqi Freedom Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment (6). David was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2018.
His recreational interests include college football, cycling, live music concerts, and skydiving.
